Sewing Start! 5/23/25

A little background to share before we start. I am essentially a noob in the world of sewing. I have practiced on small projects in the past such as 2 little makeup bags, a reusable bag, and I also resized a crop top for my partner. I decided this year I wanted to make my way into making clothing and what better place to start than something for my partner to wear to the renaisance festival this year.

So the current game plan is to follow these instructions I found for a basic tunic. They can be found here. For the fabric I found this nice hunter green in a light cotton. The pattern seems simple enough and I think I might be able to actually make this. I plan on posting my progress with some pics as I go.
